She's gone!

After a fair bit of confusion and delay I'm pleased to announce that LILA IS ON HER WAY TO CALAIS!! She's been picked up this morning so should be in France some time in the next week or so. I've been promised updates of her journey so I'll post them here as I have them :)

She's in the good hands of Caravans for Calais  who already have about 30 vans on the ground over there. Can't wait to see what she's used for!

  1. Lila arrived safely in Caddington this afternoon. I am hoping to have a good look at her tomorrow and make up a bed with all the duvets and pillows that have been donated for her. Thank you for donating her she is going across the pond on Tuesday. 180 refugees lost their tents and the few possessions they had in a fire last night, caused by a candle, so I am sure that Lila and all the goodies we are loading up in her will be very gratefully received!

    1. Hi Katja - thank you for the update! I'm sure you've already worked it out but just in case, you can use the table at the front to rig that area up as a double.

I hope you have a good trip and I'm sure she'll see good service to keep someone a little drier and warmer over the winter :) Thank you for all your work!

    2. Had a slight hitch this morning as it appears the caravan does not fit onto our tow bar. What a shame...Could you contact me, please? My email is katjaoneill@gmx.com. Thanks!

    3. Great news, Lila is now in Calais and is home to a family. We sent her with enough food to last a week, toys and bedding. Thank you for donating her. We have no details and no pictures I'm afraid, caravans get dropped off at the warehouse and towed to the site by a 4:4 as it's so muddy. But at last she is there and being put to great use!
